Chinese?!

That's it I'm making Chinese for a week straight!

I just can't for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong. I've tried all sorts of recipes and I just can not find a General Tsao's sauce that we like. I think the problem is that we are comparing it to what we remeber of Champion House in Ann Arbor. It's been a VERY long time since we had chinese there so I think we (*caugh* my wife) are comparing the home made stuff to a legend that only exists in our minds. In fact, we found out a month or so ago that Champion House no longer serves Chinese food anymore.... Hmmm... Maybe I can get their sauce recipe for one last try!!!
